Waukesha County Business Alliance Announces 2016 Policy Initiatives

Waukesha, Wis (January 22, 2016) – The Waukesha County Business Alliance has released its 2016 Policy Agenda, highlighting key issues that impact the business community. The Policy Agenda is researched and created by three policy committees: Infrastructure, Economic Development and Education. It is then vetted and voted on by the Alliance Policy Board and ultimately approved by the Alliance Board of Directors.

“The 2016 Policy Agenda addresses the most critical issues impacting Waukesha County’s businesses and their employees. This document serves as a roadmap for continued business growth and a strong economy in Waukesha County and the region,” said Suzanne Kelley, President of the Waukesha County Business Alliance. “I appreciate the hard work of the many members who participate on our Policy Committees, Policy Board and Board of Directors in order to make Waukesha County an outstanding place to do business.”

The Policy Agenda provides a detailed list of focus areas for the Alliance in 2016, including support for Waukesha’s application to borrow Lake Michigan water, implementation of the county’s Business Growth Strategy, and the integration of Academic Career Plans (ACPs) and support for a Universal Credit Transfer agreement.
