MILWAUKEE (January 14, 2016) – To recognize Dental Associates’ partnership with the Green Bay Packers, the company has donated $1,000 to the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
This past December, Dental Associates hosted a company-wide casual dress day at its 12 clinics and corporate office. Employees who donated to the Packers Foundation could wear jeans to work and pair them with their favorite Packers apparel. The initiative raised $500 and Dental Associates provided a company match.
The Foundation now has distributed more than $5.9 million for charitable purposes since it was established in 1986 by Judge Robert J. Parins, then president of the Packers Corporation, “as a vehicle to assure continued contributions to charity.”
The Green Bay Packers Foundation is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, the Packers’ all-encompassing community outreach initiative that comprises appearances made by players, alumni, coaches and staff, youth football outreach camps, cash and in-kind donations, Make-A-Wish visits and community events.
“Since we are a family-owned company that is based in Wisconsin, giving back to our community and the state is important to us,” says Thomas Manos, D.D.S., M.S., president and owner of Dental Associates. “Our partnership with the Packers allows us to show team spirit and support many meaningful causes at the same time.”
