Appleton, Wisconsin (January 7, 2016) – The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business Awards nominations are now open through March 3rd. Each year, the Chamber recognizes businesses and organizations in the Fox Cities that help make it a vibrant, innovative and dynamic community. The awards given are based on leadership, dedication and achievement. There will be five award categories: Business of the Year, Rising Star, Company Innovation, Exemplary Marketing and/or Performance, and Corporate Citizen/Corporate Leadership. Nominations can be submitted online at foxcitieschamber.com/2016-business-awards. The Rising Star award recognizes relatively new “up and coming” small businesses with a unique blend of vision, energy, perseverance and skill. Last year’s recipients were R3NEW, LLC, Nutritional Healing, LLC and Green Gecko, Inc.

The Company Innovation award acknowledges organizations that identify opportunities and execute creative-thinking and calculated risk-taking to bring innovation to the marketplace. Last year’s recipient was AeroInnovate.

Last year’s recipients were Fox Valley Technical College and SOAR Fox Cities.

The Corporate Citizen/Corporate Leadership award recognizes organizations with a philosophy of giving and community involvement that have made significant differences in the health and well-being of the Fox Cities. The award encourages and supports corporate social responsibility and community leadership. Last year’s recipients were Innovative Services, Inc. and Stellar Blue Technologies.

“Our community is extremely fortunate to have many strong businesses in and around the Fox Cities. These awards recognize businesses that have a significant impact on our local economy, whether it’s creating and sustaining jobs, keeping talent in our area or giving back to the community. These businesses are forward thinking and innovative, and will continue to transform the Fox Cities region,” shared Shannon Full, President/CEO.
