WMC/CEO Cites Leadership, Results for Promotion

MADISON – WMC President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer announced Monday that he has promoted Scott Manley to serve as Senior Vice President of Government Relations in recognition of his leadership and policy successes.

“Time and again, Scott Manley has successfully advocated passage of public policy changes for our members and the state business community, and his steadfast leadership is a tremendous asset to WMC,” Bauer said. “Scott is a consummate professional who has earned a great deal of respect at the Capitol, which has resulted in passage of key reforms such as Right to Work, iron mining reform, regulatory relief, and tax cuts.”

Manley has served as WMC Vice President of Government Relations since 2013. He joined WMC as an environmental policy director in 2005.

“It’s humbling to work for WMC, where every day we set out to make the state better for employers to create jobs,” Manley said.

Manley manages the government relations team of lobbyists, and public relations and issue advocacy professionals for WMC. He also serves as vice president of the WMC Issues Mobilization Council, Inc., the state’s largest corporate-funded issue advocacy organization.
