MADISON – Turn your food business dream into a reality by attending the Edible Startup Summit & Edible Extended Workshop August 24-26, 2015 in Madison.

Hosted in partnership by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s (DATCP) Buy Local Buy Wisconsin program, Dane County UW-Extension, and Edible Startup Summit, this three day event will give you a comprehensive and interactive guide to what it takes to develop your local food business.

The Edible Startup Summit gets underway August 24 with branding, marketing and resourcing funds to get your business going. Then on August 25 and 26, the Edible Extended workshop offers more in-depth workshops, along with one-on-one consultations with business experts and a guided networking session.

Edible Startup Summit & Edible Extended are ideal for people who have been dreaming about starting a local food business or are in the early stages of development. Entrepreneurs who attend will leave with a packet of resources and a list of names of people who can help them establish a successful business venture.

You can see an agenda for both the Summit and the Extended Workshops by going to the DATCP website: http://datcp.wi.gov/Business/Buy_Local_Buy_Wisconsin/BLBW_Workshops/index.aspx.

The registration fee for the Edible Startup Summit is $35. Edible Extended registration is $50/day or you can sign up to attend all three days for $100. Individuals may register all three days or any individual days.
