Swenson Tool & Die to Locate in Campbellsport

Swenson Tool & Die (www.swensontool.com), currently located in Washington County, announced that it will relocate to the Village of Campbellsport Industrial Park. The planned relocation and new production facility will add 21 to 29 additional jobs in Campbellsport and pave the way for further expansion of the Industrial Park.

Swenson Tool and Die, Inc. is a 3 year old manufacturing company specializing in welding and large assembly fixtures, die-making and stamping, and multi-stage press break tooling. The company sells to local and regional firms throughout the Midwest. Wayne Swenson started the company and leads its sales, engineering design and operations. Teri Swenson works fulltime in the company managing the office and handling company finances as Treasurer.

Wayne and Teri Swenson reached out to the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) in the middle of 2014 with an interest in moving to the undeveloped Campbellsport Industrial Park. Swenson’s utilized the free site and building planning services provided by the FCEDC to develop a concept for the new facility. The FCEDC then engaged the Village of Campbellsport and Keller Inc. – Planners, Architects, Builders, and began working on the Swenson’s expansion project.

“Swenson Tool & Die is a family-owned business that started as an entrepreneurial endeavor and is now growing and expanding its reach in the marketplace”, noted Steve Jenkins, president of the Fond du Lac Economic Development Corporation. “This company is a perfect fit for the Campbellsport Industrial Park and will provide critical services to customers in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin and the Midwest.”

The Swensons made the decision to move into Fond du Lac County after receiving loan commitments from the County’s Special Allocation Fund and Fond du Lac County’s Revolving Loan Fund that was combined with a loan from BMO Harris Bank.

“We look forward to joining the Campbellsport community and would like the especially thank the FCEDC, Village of Campbellsport, BMO Harris and Keller for their support through the process,” stated Wayne Swenson. “This team approach makes locating in Fond du Lac County efficient and easy.”
