Zendesk: Launches global foundation in Madison

PARTNERS WITH LOCAL HOMING PIGEONS TO GIFT $100,000 TO COMMUNITY

Pigeons will be released from Zendesk’s office with foundation grants made out to local organizations in their message canisters, fly to the rooftop of Madison Children’s Museum
for gift unveiling

WHAT: Zendesk, Inc., a cloud-based customer support platform that aims to bring organizations and customers closer together, will launch the Madison arm of its global foundation dedicated to giving back to the community.

With the help of the Madison Children’s Museum homing pigeons, grants made out to local organizations will be released into the sky from Zendesk’s office and literally “air-mailed” to the museum’s rooftop, where co-founder and CEO of Zendesk, Mikkel Svane, and representatives from local organizations will be on hand for the “fly-in” reception. To officially launch the new Zendesk Neighbor Foundation in Madison, Zendesk plans to give a total of $100,000 to the community. Organizations receiving gifts include the Madison Children’s Museum, the Madison Public Library, YWCA, the Boys & Girls Club and others. The foundation’s gifts to the Madison community will be focused on neighborhood renewal.
