Investors Community Bank breaks ground on new Stevens Point location

(Manitowoc, WI, May 21, 2015) Investors Community Bank (ICB) has broken ground on a new 13,184-square-foot Stevens Point office at 5517 Vern Holmes Drive. The facility will replace its current office, located at 3273 Church Street, and is scheduled to open in late fall 2015.

Founded in 1997, ICB serves agricultural customers throughout the state of Wisconsin and commercial customers throughout Northeast Wisconsin. They have full service offices in Manitowoc and Stevens Point and Loan Production Offices in Eau Claire, Darlington and Fond du Lac.

“We’re pleased to be able to construct a larger bank space that will offer an even better banking experience for our customers and the community,” stated Terry Schott, Regional President, Central Wisconsin. “The new, welcoming bank design will provide an intimate customer experience while aesthetically aligning with our corporate brand look. It is also an investment in Portage County that shows we are committed to serving the financial needs of the community for the long term and build long-lasting relationships.”

The new office will continue to provide the same comprehensive banking services the current office provides. ICB first opened in Stevens Point in 2010 and has been leasing space since then. However, continued growth in the Portage County market required them to seek a different location. The new bank will be situated just off of Highway 51 near the corner of County Highway HH and Eisenhower Ave., in a growing commercial area that will maximize market impact.

Ghidorzi Construction is the design/build contractor for the project, which will focus on providing a warm and inviting bank facility. Stated Chris Ghidorzi, VP of Property Development, “The building design captures the spirit of Investors Community Bank, which is a testament to the close collaboration between their leadership and the Ghidorzi design team. The influence of the agricultural sector on the bank’s growth, as well as the longevity, financial strength and support of the bank, will come to life in the new facility. Building features include a dramatic vaulted ceiling, stone fire place and antique vault door that will pay tribute to the heritage of the banking industry.”

The lower level of the building will include a 1,100-square-foot meeting room adjacent to a full kitchen that will also serve as a community resource for nonprofit and civic groups to use. Green features will be an integral part of the building, which incorporates Lean building principles that eliminate waste so that all work adds value and serves the needs of the bank and its customers. LED lighting will be used inside and out, an air tight spray foam will envelope the building to significantly enhance energy efficiency and regulate temperature, and high ceilings as well as tall windows throughout the building will optimize daylighting.

Keeping future development in mind, the building design will include flexibility for expansion to accommodate bank growth. Construction is expected to be completed by late fall.
