Madison, Wis. (May 13, 2015) – Edgewood College will honor its undergraduate and graduate degree candidates this Sunday, May 17, at the Spring 2015 Commencement Ceremony held at Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center.

President Scott Flanagan will present degrees to nearly 300 undergraduates and nearly 100 masters and doctoral candidates.

Sunday’s commencement ceremony marks a first for the College: Four students from the Cutting Edge program will be honored with certificates for completing their programs of study. The Cutting Edge is an individualized approach to education and inclusion in college for students with intellectual developmental disabilities. These are individuals who have either traditionally not been able to meet the standard admissions criteria for college or require additional supports in order to be successful in college. Edgewood College is the first four-year college in Wisconsin to offer such a program to students who have intellectual developmental disabilities.

The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.
