Launched in Wisconsin with Morman as managing director
Middleton, Wisc. – Compass Specialty Risk, LLC, a new wholesale broker and managing general agent has commenced national operations. They will be headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin, with another office in Sacramento, California. Compass Specialty Risk will be led by Michael R. Morman, who serves as the firm’s managing director. Morman will be responsible for the company’s overall operations, growth and expansion.
According to Morman, “This is an exciting opportunity and I’m honored to spearhead our launch onto the national landscape. We look forward to introducing Compass Specialty Risk to the retail community and providing specialty market access. Our goal is to promote solutions that allow our retail agents to meet their customer’s specific needs, combined with our expertise and market access.”
Previously Morman was with a national wholesaler and has also held positions with two other national wholesale brokers in the Midwest and the West Coast. He has also held a variety of positions in both claims and underwriting for a national insurance carrier. A native of Chicago, Morman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in insurance & risk management from Olivet College.
