Promotional Print Solutions Facility, Midwest Fulfillment Center Pass Good Manufacturing Processes Audit

NEENAH, Wis. (April 24, 2015) – For the sixth consecutive year, Menasha Packaging’s Promotional Print Solutions (PPS) facility and Midwest Fulfillment Center (MFC), both located in Neenah, Wisconsin, have been recognized by the American Institute of Baking (AIB) International with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) audit scores greater than 900 out of a possible 1,000.

“Consecutively maintaining scores over 900 shows that we have developed a very robust system that not only scores well during the audit, but that is now engrained in the way Menasha operates,” said Tim Rice, Menasha’s Lean Coordinator and Quality Manager for PPS – Neenah.

Both facilities recently underwent a comprehensive assessment where they were evaluated based on the AIB standards for Food Contact Packaging Manufacturing Facilities.

“Even though the volume of our business has grown substantially in the last year, our customers can rest assured that we are providing them with clean, safe products,” says Lloyd Kitchen, Menasha’s Quality Supervisor for Midwest Fulfillment Center. “Recognition by the AIB validates that we have been able to maintain quality control procedures and good manufacturing processes.”

The AIB and its Good Manufacturing Processes criteria are based on current federal guidelines and industry best practices. Passing the assessment confirms that a facility has good manufacturing processes in place, and that it can provide clean, food-safe packaging products.

AIB auditors specifically evaluate the following areas: Operational Methods and Personnel Practices, Maintenance for Food Safety, Cleaning Practices, Integrated Pest Management, and Adequacy of Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs.
