Annex Wealth Management: Named to Financial Times Top 400 and Barrons Top 1200

ANNEX WEALTH MANAGEMENT NAMED TO FINANCIAL TIMES’ TOP 400 FINANCIAL ADVISORS LIST AND BARRON’S TOP 1,200 FINANCIAL ADVISORS LIST

Growing Wisconsin wealth management firm makes elite national lists

Elm Grove, Wis., April 16, 2015. . . . .Annex Wealth Management, a fast-growing Wisconsin-based investment advisory firm, today announced it was ranked in The Financial Times’ Top 400 Financial Advisors list “FT 400,” that was published March 25, 2015. Additionally, for the first time, Annex Wealth Management was included in Barron’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors List published February 21, 2015.

“We consistently strive to bring the highest-quality, client-focused financial planning services to our diverse client base. As the role of a financial advisor continues to evolve based on growing complexities, our firm offers a full range of financial planning resources, such as retirement planning and estate planning, to address the specific financial needs of our clients. With more than 275,000 Investment Advisors representing more than 28,000 firms in the United States, these elite rankings are a testament to our entire team’s dedication to our clients and ongoing commitment to provide a coordinated and thoughtful approach to financial planning,” said David J. Spano, president and CEO of Annex Wealth Management.

The Financial Times’ Top 400 Financial Advisors (FT 400) List is an elite list, based on data gathered from firms and verified by broker-dealer home offices, regulatory disclosures and research. The listing reflects each advisor’s performance in six primary areas, including assets under management, asset growth, compliance record, experience, credentials and accessibility as identified by the Financial Times. The average financial adviser in the FT 400 has 26 years of experience and manages $1.7 billion worth of assets. Less than three-quarters of the prior year’s FT 400 returned to this year’s list, which is a sign of how difficult the job of financial advisor has become. To qualify for the list, advisers had to have 10 years of experience and at least $200 million in assets under management. Neither the brokerages nor the advisors pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 400.

Barron’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors list is an annual state-by-state listing that shines light on America’s best financial advisors. To compile its annual list, Barron’s, a leading financial publication, uses data provided by over 4,000 of the nation’s most productive advisors. Barron’s takes a number of criteria into account for this state-by-state ranking, including assets under management, revenues

generated by advisors for their firms, and quality of practices, which includes examination of

regulatory records. The list was expanded this year to include both Registered Investment Advisers and Investment Adviser Representatives; some states may include more advisors than others, in proportion to state populations. In evaluating advisors, Barron’s examines regulatory records, internal company documents and extensive questionnaires filled out by the advisors themselves.
