FNB Fox Valley: Sponsors the third-annual non-profit Oshkosh Money Conference

Oshkosh, Wis. (April 10, 2015)- Asset Builders, FNB Fox Valley and many other sponsors and community partners will present the third-annual Oshkosh Money Conference on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Oshkosh West High School. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:30 am, with the program lasting from 8:30 until 1:30.

The Conference is a nonprofit event and is a great opportunity for area residents to learn personal finance basics, and will serve as a fitting wrap-up to National Financial Literacy Month and National Money Smart Week. There is no selling or pressure to buy anything – the goal of the Conference is to teach participants how to improve their finances. Richard Entenmann of Asset Builders said “the Conference offers high-quality education in an unbiased and fun atmosphere. Things that people learn here can have substantial “pocket-book” results in the near term, and can set people up to reach higher net worth in the future.”

Aside from conference sponsorship, FNB Fox Valley employees will be volunteering at the conference in a variety of positions.

The luncheon general session will be a presentation by Chris Czarnik, Manager of the Employment Connections program at fox Valley Technical College. Mr. Czarnik will discuss how challenges can be overcome with hard work and by “getting started”, and add some tips about how Conference-goers can set themselves up for success in getting a job and/or advancing their career.

The Conference features 18 separate workshops for adults, on topics such as Tips on Improving Your Credit, Budgeting Basics, Is Bankruptcy the Right Choice – Options You Should Know About Before Filing, How to Buy a Used Car Without Getting Taken for a Ride, Love and Money – a Relationship Challenge, and How to Feed Your Family Good Food Without Going Broke. The Conference features age-appropriate classes for students beginning at age 6 and also includes:

· Free childcare for children between the ages of 2 and 6 (call to reserve space)
· Continental breakfast and lunch
· A free copy of each person’s credit report
· The opportunity to review the credit report onsite with a credit expert
· Door prizes throughout the day

Advance registration is $2.00 for adults and free for youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Registration at the door is $4.00 for adults and $1.00 for youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Scholarships are available.
