Oshkosh, WI (March 13, 2015) – The Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation (GO-EDC) announced yesterday that its Board of Directors has named Jason White as the organization’s new CEO. White emerged as the top candidate following a nationwide search accompanied by a comprehensive evaluation and interview process. White will assume his new role with GO-EDC in mid to late April.

“We are very excited to have Jason join our team. His vast experience in executing development projects, leading private/public partnerships, along with his devotion to job growth and workforce development make him the right person for the job,” said Bill Wyman, GO-EDC’s Interim CEO and Board Chairman. “Jason has proven to have exceptional leadership skills, management ability and works well with his board and all of his collaborative partners. He has a strong reputation of being ethical, trustworthy and resourceful; along with his strong character we feel he is the perfect leader for GO-EDC.”

White has over 12 years of experience in Economic Development along with legislative, lobbying and fundraising expertise. Most recently he served as the Executive Director of the Warren County Economic Development Corporation in Indianola, where he successfully directed a $2 million campaign that resulted in a 35 percent revenue growth for the organization. He also facilitated a project portfolio with the top 22 economic development projects creating over 500 private jobs and $46 million in new capital investment, in a largely “bedroom” metro county with stagnant job growth.

“Oshkosh is well-branded for business excellence,” said White. “However, I am most excited to join GO-EDC because of the organization’s unity in purpose within the Greater Oshkosh community. My wife Kelly and I are excited to raise our family in Oshkosh. I look forward to building an organization that is known for delivering value to investors and creating opportunities. Thank you to those organizations who believe in GO-EDC and for those who will soon come on board.”

White has a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute. White and his wife Kelly have three children.
