Informational Meeting Saturday, March 21, 1 pm
Old World Wisconsin Eagle Diamonds

Eagle, Wis.–Old World Wisconsin is upping its game–base ball, that is, played by 1870s rules–for the 2015 season, and seeks volunteers to field its Eagle Diamonds team. Those interested can learn more at an informational meeting Saturday, March 21 from 1-3 pm. It will be held in the regional history attraction’s Administration building on the west side of the site (4/10ths of mile north of the intersection of Highway 67 and County Road S).

There is a new emphasis on the game at Old World Wisconsin for 2015. The base ball diamond will be relocated to the site’s village area, closer to the main entrance, bringing it more center stage. Four home games and two away games are scheduled for 2015. Those chosen will be taught historic rules, historic methods of batting, pitching and catching. Old World Wisconsin is looking for people who like to work with the public, especially children and families, and who are not shy.
