New Summit Credit Union Branch in Waukesha Set to Open Later This Month

MADISON, Wisconsin — Construction is underway for the new Summit Credit Union branch in Waukesha. The 3,400-square-foot facility is located at 1103 Spring City Lane and is expected to open on March 23, 2015. It will replace Summit’s current location in Waukesha, which will cease operations at the end of the business day on March 21.

“The new branch reflects Summit’s ongoing commitment to serving and bringing
value to our members, as well as our support of the Milwaukee-area communities,” said
Kim Sponem, CEO/president of Summit Credit Union. “Our membership base has been growing exponentially in the Waukesha area, and the new, larger branch will help us keep up with demand. We are also thrilled with our new location, which offers a drive up and enhanced visibility.”

Summit has partnered with Madison-based Strang, Inc., to construct the full-service branch, which will include a welcoming lobby, drive-through teller area and a member service counter. Additionally, teller pods will replace traditional teller lines, providing a more welcoming environment conducive to member conversations. The exterior of the building will consist of a mostly glass façade, giving it a sleek, upscale appearance. A drive-up canopy will be integrated into the design of the building as well.

Jamie Van Wagoner has joined Summit as branch manager for the new location. She brings 15 years of banking experience to her role, most recently serving as assistant vice president, bank office manager at Bank Mutual in Greenfield, Wis. A total of six employees — comprised of current staff from Summit’s current Waukesha branch as well as two new hires — will staff the new facility.
