Waukesha, Wis. (February 18, 2015) – The Waukesha County Business Alliance has reached a major milestone this week, exceeding 1,000 member businesses. The Alliance is the largest business association in Waukesha County.

The companies that pushed the Alliance over the 1,000-member goal were Aurora Health Care, JSD Professional Services Inc. and Thrivent Financial.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate surpassing the 1,000-member target set by the Alliance Board of Directors,” said Suzanne Kelley, Alliance president. “Our four pillars – Advocate, Develop, Network and Promote – remain at the foundation of everything we do to provide a strong value for all of our members.”

Factors driving the Alliance’s growth include its strong manufacturing programs, growing business/education partnerships, an active advocacy agenda, expanded professional development opportunities, and an exceptional retention rate of 92%. A merger in 2010 between the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce and the Waukesha County Action Network served as a strong platform for growth and rebranding as the Waukesha County Business Alliance.

“We greatly appreciate the many referrals we have received from members, board of directors, and Alliance ambassadors that helped us meet this milestone,” Kelley said.
