BUCKS BRING BRITISH FEEL TO BMO HARRIS BRADLEY CENTER IN ADVANCE OF LONDON GAME

‘London Night’ on Friday vs. Minnesota will bring a taste of England to Bucks fans in Milwaukee

In advance of the Milwaukee Bucks’ trip to England next week for the NBA’s Global Games, the team is bringing a British feel to its fans at home on Friday night. The first ever “London Night” at BMO Harris Bradley Center (7:30 p.m. tipoff) will feature London-themed in-game giveaways, live performances, and even concession stands will have a decidedly British feel.

“There certainly is a growing passion and enthusiasm for basketball in Great Britain,” said Joe Prunty, Bucks assistant coach and head coach of Great Britain’s national team. “It is great to have the Milwaukee Bucks and the city of Milwaukee represented in the U.K. at the NBA Global Games. It is also exciting to share a little bit of our experience with the fans at home even before we head over to play in London.”

Special elements for the night include:

· First 10,000 adult fans will receive a limited edition English soccer-style Bucks scarf

· Pre-game entertainment in atriums and Leinie’s Lodge

o Shattered (Rolling Stones cover band) – East Atrium

o Substitute (The Who cover band) – West Atrium

o Rockin Fenderskirts (Covers variety of British artists) – Leinie’s Lodge

· Guest PA Announcer: Michael King – British player for Milwaukee Wave

· Halftime act: British Bar Trio – Cirque de Soleil performance group from London

· English-themed contests, prizes and performances by Milwaukee Bucks Dancers, Rim Rockers and the 2014-15 season debut of Bucks Beats presented by Cascio Interstate

· English-themed concessions

o Bangers and Mash (Usinger brat served with mashed potatoes and onion gravy) for $7

o Fish and Chips available at the Grill for $9.75

Additionally, for London gameday on Jan. 15, the Bucks will host a British-style viewing party at the Three Lions Pub (4515 N. Oakland Ave. 53211) – a member of the Bucks Bar Network – so fans can watch the team take on the Knicks in one of Milwaukee’s best English environments. The game tips off at 2 p.m. CT, but festivities will start at 1 p.m., continuing on into the evening. The pub features large TVs and an HD projector and screen for a superior viewing experience. There will also be food and drink specials, including $3 Miller and Coors bottles and taps, and $1 off all appetizers, T-shirt giveaways, and more.
