Professor Janice Havlena Receives Community Partner of the Year Award

Madison, Wis. (December 2, 2014) –Janice Havlena, Professor of Art Therapy, received the Community Partner of the Year Award from the Epilepsy Foundation Heart of Wisconsin at the Epilepsy Foundation 34th Annual Dinner in November.

Professor Havlena was recognized for her continued leadership of the Studio-E Art Therapy and Epilepsy Program for adults. She was also lauded for her work with the children and adolescents’ art therapy program at the Studio–E summer camp, her art therapy program contributions to the annual Siblings Day, and for her ongoing research activity in children and adolescents with epilepsy.

Edgewood College art therapy students have been involved in each of her projects with the Epilepsy Foundation.
