Bank of Sun Prairie Announces New President and CEO
Sun Prairie, WI – Bank of Sun Prairie is proud to announce Jimmy Kauffman as the new Bank President and CEO.
Kauffman has 16 years of experience in financial services; he last served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Integration for Consumer and Commercial Banking at Associated Bank. Previously, he led as many as 47 branches across central and southern Wisconsin, served as President and CEO of Riverside Finance as well as a number of other senior leadership roles within Associated since 2004. He graduated from Commonwealth Business College majoring in Accounting and recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
“I am excited and honored to be selected to advance the rich tradition of Bank of Sun Prairie,” said Kauffman. “I look forward to working with team to deliver for our customers, the community and our stockholders. I believe that people are the cornerstone of our business; whether it is helping an individual or business achieve their financial goals or helping a team member develop and grow within the company.”
At the end of this year, after 48 years at the Bank, Alice Hensen will retire from Bank of Sun Prairie, where she’s held the role of president since 2006. Kauffman has began his tenure at Bank of Sun Prairie and will spend the next couple of months getting to know the Bank during the transition period.

Bank of Sun Prairie board members are also confident in selecting Kauffman as the next President.
“Jimmy’s infectious energy and high level of experience will be a perfect fit for staff, clients and stockholders,” said Jeff Tubbs, Bank of Sun Prairie board member. “We look forward to introducing Jimmy to the Bank of Sun Prairie communities and know he’ll assimilate well.”
Kauffman, his wife Mary and five children live in Sun Prairie. He is an active member of the community and has most recently participated in the strategic planning process for the Sun Prairie Area School District and is a board member of the Business and Education Partnership.
