My City, My Biz: Small and home-based business owners set out to revive the economy, and their communities


A small and home-based business network group in Milwaukee, Wisconsin are not relying on the Government bail outs to bring the life back to their communities, and businesses. Small and home-based businesses recognize they are the back bone of this economy.



10/9/2013 – MILWAUKEE, WI, – The My City, My Biz Marketplace & Business Opportunity Expo is hosted by PMI Business Group, LLC, and exist to bridge the gap between the consumer (community residents), small & home based business owners, Direct Sale Companies, Business Associations, Chamber of Commerce’s, and City & State officials.



When: Saturday, October 11, 2014 the Wisconsin State Fair Park, Tommy Thompson Expo Center 640 S. 84th Street Milwaukee, WI, 53214
9:00 AM – Key to the City Kick-Off Celebration featuring key note speaker Daphne Malone, President of Glorious Malone’s Fine Sausages. Along with an honoring of local community leaders, a small business launch featuring over 30 business owners, and the ringing of the bell of prosperity to officially open the 2014 Expo.



The expo officially opens at 10:00 AM – 5:00PM, and features shopping, business opportunities such as Paycation Travel, A Career Connection Exhibit hosted by Midwest Advantage, Corporation, and a Food Truck Stop. This 4th year Expo is “FREE” and open to the public.



The My City, My Biz Annual Expo brings awareness to area residents of the local businesses, services, and resources available to them while providing workshops, and seminars hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Wells Fargo, Dr. Sage Campione, Brown – Beasley Accounting, and Mutual of Omaha. The workshops are planned to empower small & home-based business owners to grow, expand, and sustain a thriving business.
Over the last 3 years the annual Expo has been a huge success, and included a total of 63 community volunteers, 229 local exhibitors, and 3,600+ attendees.



City & State officials who supported in 2013: Senator Lena Taylor, and County Supervisor David Bowen, and this year’s expo organizer has extended an invitation to each Alderperson in Milwaukee.
