Mary Wright Named Chair of FCI Board of Directors

Wright Succeeds Outgoing Chair Don Katz

The Board of Directors of Forward Community Investments has elected Mary Wright as its new Chair. Wright will finish out the current term of outgoing Chair Don Katz through December, and begin a new two-year term of her own on January 1, 2015.

Wright is a Vice-President – Senior Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo Bank and is responsible for commercial lending, business development and providing financing solutions to businesses in order to execute their strategic initiatives and plans. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she was Director of Multifamily Housing at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA). Wright has been a member of the FCI board since 2009, and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board and Chair of the Board’s Lending Committee.

Outgoing chair Don Katz is stepping down after leading the FCI board since January of 2013. Katz, a private investor and philanthropist, will remain on the Board until December, and will be on the Executive Committee as Past Chair for the remainder of his term.

Founded in 1994, FCI is a statewide community development financial institution based in Madison. FCI serves as an investor, connector, and advisor for organizations and initiatives working to reduce social, racial, and economic disparities across Wisconsin.
