Downtown Appleton Landmark Invests $1MM into Facility Improvements
APPLETON, WIS. (August 29, 2014) – The Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in downtown Appleton announced today the completion of over $1MM in facility upgrades, largely in guest room areas of the downtown landmark.
The improvements, completed over the past 18 months, encompass the following:
· New case goods, including headboards, desks and tables, along with new lighting in 142 of the hotel’s 388 guest rooms. (The hotel’s remaining 246 guest rooms had been updated prior to this new phase of improvements)
· Replacement of guest corridor carpeting in two of the hotel’s three guest room towers
· Installation of new granite and wood bathroom vanities in the hotel’s 96-room west tower
· New Radisson bedding packages and mattresses installed in half of the hotel’s guest rooms
· Completely renovated Fitness Center
· Pool area upgrades including pool carpeting and soon to be installed pool furniture
· Replacement of the hotel’s lobby furnishings, carpeting and area rugs
· New seating in the hotel’s Clubhouse restaurant
· Updated wallpaper in main floor restrooms
According to Jay Schumerth, the hotel’s senior general manager, the facility upgrades are a part of hotel owners LNR Partners’ ongoing commitment to invest into the property.
“We are very excited about the ongoing improvements at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel,” Schumerth said. “The hotel’s guests are commenting very favorably about the changes they are seeing and we’re very pleased about the continuing investment that is being put into the hotel.”
The Radisson Paper Valley’s commitment to facility improvement earned the hotel a 2013 Renovation Award from Carlson Hotels, parent company of the Radisson brand, for its continued investment in hotel improvements.
