Wired Wisconsin: To host forum on “Future of Broadband Technology”

STEVENS POINT— Wired Wisconsin, a non-profit technology issue advocacy coalition, Centergy, and the Stevens Point Downtown Business Association will be hosting a forum titled “The Future of Broadband Technology” on Wednesday, June 29 at 8:30 a.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Dreyfus University Center, Laird North, 1015 Reserve Street.
The panel will also address the importance of supporting growth and innovation in telecommunications and broadband, and the continuing need to create policies that incentivize private sector investment.
Confirmed panelists include: Zach Brandon, Wisconsin Technology Council; Barbara Fleisner, Centergy; Dave McHone, Travel Guard; Joe Brickweg, Marshfield Clinic. Sarah Robinson with the Downtown Business Association will moderate the panel. In addition, Portage County Executive Patty Dreier will also speak.
