MADISON – Gov. Jim Doyle today announced that the Village of Gresham, Shawano County, will receive a Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities (CDBG-PF) grant totaling $115,000 to make public facilities improvements.
“My Grow Wisconsin plan calls for investing in our infrastructure to improve the quality of life for all Wisconsin residents,” Gov. Doyle said. “I am pleased that the Village of Gresham will use this loan to make its water and sewer system more efficient.”
The village will replace water and sewer mains on County Highway G. The total project cost is $303,000.
Commerce has administered the federally funded CDBG-PF Program since 1982. The program’s grants play an important role in helping communities finance a wide range of projects designed to enhance the economic vitality of the community through the expansion of the tax base, job creation, and increased private investment in downtowns. Grants are awarded to projects that will primarily benefit low- and moderate-income residents.
