Bakke Norman law firm: Attorney Thomas Anderson joins Bakke Norman law firm

Anderson’s vocal arrangements heard on NBC’s “The Sing-Off”

NEW RICHMOND, WI | Thomas W. Anderson of Eau Claire has joined the Bakke Norman law firm, with offices in Baldwin, Menomonie and New Richmond, Wis. A member of its litigation team, Anderson practices primarily in the areas of family and criminal law.

“We are very pleased to welcome Tom to our firm,” says Thomas Schumacher, co-founder and partner. “In addition to his legal talent, he has some interesting experiences in the musical arena, having arranged much of the music for the a cappella group On the Rocks, which is competing on the NBC show ‘The Sing-Off.’”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the University of Minnesota Law School, Anderson clerked for the Hon. John R. Solien in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District and practiced with an Eau Claire litigation firm before joining Bakke Norman. His practice has also included significant experience in business law, real estate, estate planning, and civil litigation.

Anderson coauthored a chapter on divorce and family law for the 2011 Wisconsin Attorney’s Desk Reference. He has also worked for the Public Defender’s office in Washington County, Minn. and for the Hon. Karen Janisch during her service as General Counsel to former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Anderson toured full-time as a professional singer with the Boston-based a cappella group Ball in the House. Through his own business, Random Notes LLC, Anderson is a prolific arranger of vocal music whose work can be heard on major record label releases and network television programming, including NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”

Anderson lives in Eau Claire with his wife, Kristine, and practices in the New Richmond office of Bakke Norman.
