MILWAUKEE – November is a clean sweep for WISN 12. Channel 12 is the news leader in the mornings, and at 5, 6 and 10 p.m., according to the latest information from Nielsen Media Research. The ABC affiliate also delivers another winning performance in primetime and is the market leader from sign-on to sign-off for the seventh consecutive November.

With one day remaining in the November 2010 ratings period, Nielsen data confirms that WISN 12 is number one in the highly competitive 10 p.m. local news race (M-F). The station leads with an 8.5 household rating, followed by WTMJ (8.4), WDJT (4.7) and WITI (4.3).

“Providing our viewers with a deeper understanding of the community through quality journalism is our first priority,” says Jan Wade, president and general manager of WISN 12. “We are thrilled that, once again, the people of southeastern Wisconsin have rewarded that commitment by making us their first choice for local news.”

WISN 12 also continues its commanding lead in early evenings with a 7.8 rating at 5 p.m., followed by WTMJ (6.1), WITI (3.5) and WDJT (1.5). At 6 p.m., WISN 12 (7.5) dominates the half-hour with a 60 percent lead over its closest news competitor WTMJ (4.7), and followed by WITI (3.7). In morning news, WISN 12 leads every half-hour weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m., and leads each hour of the 5 to 9 a.m. weekend news block.

WISN 12’s strong ratings performance extends beyond its local newscasts, with the top audiences in daytime, early fringe, prime access and primetime dayparts. WISN 12 delivers five of the top seven primetime series in November, including Dancing with the Stars (#1); Dancing with the Stars Results Show (#2), Castle (#5), Grey’s Anatomy (#6) and Desperate Housewives (#7).

Sign-on to sign-off, WISN 12 leads the market for the seventh consecutive November with a 3.6 rating, followed by WITI (3.4), WTMJ (3.1), and WDJT (2.0).
