MillerCoors: Milwaukee brewery to host Veterans Day event; premiere new memorial on visitor center campus
Governor-Elect Scott Walker to join brewery officials and special guests at unveiling and dedication of Veterans Memorial
WHAT: MillerCoors Milwaukee Brewery will unveil its newly-constructed Miller Valley Veterans Monument during a Veterans Day event in Miller Valley. The ceremony will be marked by a World War II vintage military flyover and a 21-gun salute in honor of fallen Milwaukee brewery employees. MillerCoors Chief Operating Officer Dennis Puffer, a former Air Force Captain, and Milwaukee Brewery Plant Vice President Andy Moschea will give remarks. Governor-Elect Scott Walker will also address attendees during the memorial service. And for the first time in recent history, brewery production will come to a halt for two hours to allow employees to attend the Veterans Day dedication.
The design of the Miller Valley Veterans Monument incorporates the brewery’s heritage and pays homage to former employees that lost their lives in WWII serving their country. Relatives of one of the fallen soldiers will also be in attendance.
