MADISON, Wis. (October 19, 2010) — What do cocktail rings and lakefront homes have in common? Plenty if you ask Shelly Sprinkman, a long time Madison real estate agent and her client Tom Krupp, co-owner of Coy-Krupp Conducted Sales in Chicago, IL. Sprinkman and Krupp are combining their talents to present a private showing of both vintage estate jewelry and Tom’s vintage home on Sherman Avenue.

The event, “Get Real: A Private Showing” will take place at Tom’s lake home, 1662 Sherman Avenue, from 5pm – 8pm on Thursday, October, 21. Guests will be encouraged to tour the home, as well as try on and purchase the vintage platinum, gold and gem-set jewels. Cocktails and appetizers will be offered.

Whether it’s home centered events or lake home tours via boat, complete with champagne and appetizers, Sprinkman Real Estate is employing innovative techniques to get buyers interested in their clients’ homes.

“It’s not enough in this market to rely on typical real estate marketing,” said Shelly Sprinkman, a Restaino & Associates realtor “We’re getting especially creative with our marketing in order to sell our customers’ homes. A home may be updated and move-in ready, but showings may be few and far between. So we’re working with willing clients to open their homes to a broader audience and sometimes in unconventional ways.”

“It’s typical in a slow economy to cut back on marketing, but our team has done the opposite. We have defined our target and are reaching out to them in order to get our client’s homes noticed. If that means working with an interior designer or advertising in Chicago publications to reach people looking for second homes in a favorable market, then that’s what we do.”

Sprinkman is also planning philanthropic events at listed homes in which the homeowner chooses a charity to receive the proceeds from the event.

“It’s certainly a good way to break through the clutter,” Sprinkman said. “It’s truly a win-win. We understand the real estate process encompasses more than just the actual buying or selling of a home. It’s a life transition for our clients. We do everything we can to guide them through that process successfully.”
