Discover Mediaworks recognized again for excellence in television programming
EAGLE RIVER -- Call it “The Little Show That Could.” Thanks to an engaging mix of outdoor fun and nature-based education, a popular children’s television show produced by an Eagle River company has received its 10th straight Emmy Award nomination. The show, Into the Outdoors, has been nominated by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for an Emmy Award in the category of outstanding achievement for children’s programs every year since it debuted in 2001. It has gone on to win the Emmy a total of six times, including a win last year for a special educational episode on aquatic invasive species.
“Ten nominations in 10 years! We’re thrilled,” said Mark C. Rose, one of the show’s executive producers, when this year’s nominations were announced in a live ceremony held in Chicago, Illinois on September 28th. “Into the Outdoors is devoted to teaching the next generation about Wisconsin’s scenic beauty, natural resources and our great traditions of hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation, and we’re just so honored that the Academy has recognized the excellence of this program year in and year out.”
Into the Outdoors is produced by Discover Mediaworks, a full-service production and integrated communications company with facilities in Eagle River and Madison. The show airs on television stations throughout Wisconsin and in neighboring states, and the owners of Discover Mediaworks, husband-and-wife team Mark C. Rose and Lisa A. Rose, serve as executive producers of Into the Outdoors.
