Milwaukee, Wis. — Wipfli LLP announced today that Shannon Midthun has joined the firm as a senior business development executive. He will be responsible for market development, lead generation, and sales operations and development in the firm’s Southern Region. Shannon will be working out of the firm’s Milwaukee office.

“This is a great next step toward our goal of establishing a top-quality business development team for the firm,” Wipfli’s Chief Growth Officer Rike Harrison said.

“We are excited that Shannon has joined Wipfli,” said Bob Cottingham, Wipfli’s Southern Region Partner-in-Charge. “He will be a great addition to our team as we continue to grow the practice in the Madison and Milwaukee markets.”

Midthun has over ten years of progressively responsible experience in business development and sales management, sales training and sales leadership. Prior to joining Wipfli, Midthun worked with a regional consulting firm, where he focused on helping the firm develop its business development infrastructure, which included a sales process and methodology, CRM implementation and training.

Midthun is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in advertising and marketing. He is an active member of a number of organizations in the Milwaukee and Madison markets including the Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Initiative, Marquette Circles, Construction Financial Management Association, Associated General Contractors, American Builders Association, Commercial Association for Realtors in Wisconsin, Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Wisconsin Manufacturers Commerce, Downtown Madison, Inc. and Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce.
