Highest attendance since 2006

WAUKESHA, WI (September 13, 2010) – The 2010 MBA Parade of Homes finished its 23-day run yesterday and earned its rightful place in the event’s 65-year history by drawing 36,957 visitors, three of which purchased Parade models.

“The 65th anniversary MBA Parade of Homes more than lived up to our expectations in terms of excitement, expertise and excellence,” said Rick Hodges, MBA Executive Director. “We knew that despite the recession and current home building statistics there would still be strong consumer interest, but none of us predicted that we’d be almost 7,000 over our attendance goal of 30,000 and that three of the 22 Parade models would sell. Taking those numbers, additional pending model and lot sale offers, and the countless rave reviews we received from visitors into account, to say this year’s Parade exceeded our expectations is an understatement.”

This year’s Parade visitors enjoyed a number of special events, promotions, displays and educational seminars about new home building, home improvements, “green” building, and the latest in design trends and technology from 18 of Southeastern Wisconsin’s most experienced home builders.

“The MBA’s growth is dependent on community support so to the people who participated in and attended the 2010 MBA Parade of Homes I offer my sincere gratitude,” said Hodges. “To those who missed it, 2011 Parade planning is already underway and I look forward to seeing you then if not before at MBA special events like the 2010 MBA Remodelers Tour October 9th and 10th and the 2011 Home Building & Remodeling Expo that starts January 6th.”
