Partnership with Soles4Souls begins initiative to assist leading national charities

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Gander Mountain announced a new partnership program to help national charities provide assistance to people in need of footwear, clothing and other items important to daily life.
On August 29, Gander Mountain begins its first initiative by partnering with Souls4Souls to collect gently used shoes and send them to people in need around the world. Souls4Soles has distributed more than 5.5 million pairs of shoes since 2005 and recently has been sending shoes to survivors of the Haiti earthquake.
With its “We Live Outdoors” culture, Gander Mountain understands how important footwear is for daily use. Beginning August 29 and continuing through September, Gander Mountain will offer 20% off any full-priced footwear purchase of $100 or more with the donation of a pair of shoes, or a monetary donation of at least $5 to Soles4Souls. For every dollar donated, Sole4Souls is able to provide/ship one pair of shoes to a person in need anywhere in the world. It is not necessary to make a purchase to donate footwear or make a financial contribution to Soles4Soles.

In addition to the partnership with Souls4Souls, Gander Mountain will be working with other national charitable organizations throughout the rest of the year and beyond to continue giving back to the community. Future programs planned will emphasize the preparation for winter and providing hope to those less fortunate during the holiday season.
