Green Bay, Wisconsin — The Board of Directors of the Dairy Business Association (DBA) has unanimously endorsed Brett Davis for Lieutenant Governor. Brett is the only candidate in the race who has both direct experience dealing with state issues and private sector experience as a realtor and past president of the Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Brett has been proven to be a strong supporter of Wisconsin’s dairy industry,” commented Laurie Fischer, Executive Director of DBA. “He represents a district known for its dairy businesses and many of Wisconsin’s finest specialty cheese plants. Brett has shown his support for dairy business by voting for vital legislation helping Wisconsin’s dairy industry maintain its role as the nation’s largest producer of fine cheeses.”

“I have reviewed Brett’s platform for the Lieutenant Governor’s race,” said Jerry Meissner, DBA President. “I found it refreshing to hear a candidate lay out a work plan to use the Lieutenant Governor’s office as a proactive way to advocate for the taxpayers by identifying and reining in wasteful uses of taxpayer’s money.” Brett has pledged that each year he serves as Lieutenant Governor he will propose to eliminate an amount equal to at least 100 times the Lieutenant Governor’s office budget in wasteful government spending, which would result in nearly $40 million in spending cuts each year.

Brett has a strong voting record on issues important to Wisconsin’s dairy industry. Representing a rural district gives him a unique perspective allowing him to understand the need for the variety of farms Wisconsin is blessed to have. Brett understands Wisconsin’s Dairyland needs to grow and knows this can be done while protecting our natural resources.
