Madison, WI – Attorney Michael True has joined the law firm of Murphy Desmond S.C. as an associate in the Creditors’ Rights, Business Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation practice area.
True has represented defendants in consumer law and commercial litigation matters. His experience includes defending individual and class action claims against businesses, corporate entities, creditors, debt assignees, and collection agencies alleging violations of federal and state consumer protection statutes, including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state interest acts, state collection agency acts, and state consumer fraud and deceptive business practices acts. He also has extensive appellate practice experience, representing clients on appeal in both state and federal courts. True earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Ohio-Dayton, and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law.
