MADISON – Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that his office has settled a case with Wausaukee Composites, Inc. for violations of Wisconsin’s air pollution laws.
The civil complaint, filed in Grant County, alleges the company modified and operated a stationary source of air pollution at its fiberglass based manufacturing facility in Cuba City, Wisconsin without the air pollution permits required by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The company resolved these violations and obtained a permit as soon as it was notified by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The company was ordered by Judge Robert P. Van De Hey to pay $80,000 in forfeitures and penalties on July 19, 2010. Assistant Attorney General Cynthia R. Hirsch prosecuted the case.
