Milwaukee, WI (June 18, 2010) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce that the following associates have been elected to the partnership.

Milwaukee Office –

Kelly M. Fortier is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Fortier’s practice includes representation of management in all aspects of employment law, with primary focus on employment-based immigration, including nonimmigrant petitions, permanent residence cases, naturalization applications, and employment verification issues. She received a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2003 from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.

Joseph Louis Olson is a trial a attorney and a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He practices primarily in the areas of class action defense, product liability defense, employee benefits and complex commercial litigation matters. Olson received a J.D., cum laude, in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Michael P. O’Neil is a member of the Business Practice Group. O’Neil concentrates his practice on various business and tax law matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, structuring and formation of real estate and operating businesses, business succession planning and general corporate and partnership matters. O’Neil also is a Certified Public Accountant. He received a J.D., cum laude, in 2002 from University of Wisconsin Law School.

Madison Office-

Angela Black is member of the firm’s Land & Resources Practice Group. She represents clients in all aspects of land development, including in the areas of real estate, land use, construction and environmental law. Black received a J.D., in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Michelle L. Dama is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Her experience includes the defense of class actions, multidistrict litigation, complex commercial litigation, product liability actions, commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation. Dama received a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Farrah N.W. Rifelj is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group, focusing on employment litigation. Rifelj has experience handling a variety of different employment related topics such as wage and hour law, family and medical leave laws, employment contracts, noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements, unemployment compensation, disability accommodation, harassment and various types of discrimination. She received a J.D. cum laude, in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
