A treasure trove of furniture, art, home decor and collectibles, The Mixx Design Centre in downtown Sheboygan, WI has recently joined Vintage and Modern (VandM.com), an online resource serving designers and discerning consumers throughout the country and across the globe.
The Mixx’s 6000 square feet of showroom has extended it’s reach of virtual, online shopping with several of their unique inventory items. Vintage and Modern hosts a web site for a juried selection of shops specializing in unusual, one of a kind decorative accents, furniture pieces, rugs, art, jewelry and lighting. Items are available for view in photo galleries and the history and description of each piece is detailed along side. Access is granted from the VandM site to the home web sites of each member. Wendy Bemis travels extensively to keep the inventory of The Mixx fresh and surprising. With the combined efforts, talents and design skills of The Mixx team, complete vignettes and entire rooms of period to contemporary furnishings are on display at The Mixx.
“Vintage and Modern’s online marketplace is an exciting new venue for The Mixx,” says owner/buyer Wendy Bemis. “Until now, The Mixx has been a ‘best kept secret’ of local collectors. VandM will introduce The Mixx to savvy designers world wide.”
The Mixx Design Center partners with The Wreath Factory at Otter Creek and co-owners Michael Beeck and Jeff Buser. The Mixx opened in 2005 on Michigan Avenue before moving to a larger, renovated warehouse at 1133 Indiana Avenue in Sheboygan WI. Featuring new, pre-enjoyed and antique furniture and home decor, The Mixx staff provides staging for real estate sales, renovation, remodeling and photographic props as well as direct and online sales.
