MILWAUKEE, Wis. (June 15, 2010) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that Michael J. Gonring, a partner and the Firm’s national pro bono coordinator, has been appointed to Wisconsin’s Access to Justice Commission. His appointment lasts until June 2011; he will be eligible for reappointment at that time.

Mr. Gonring concentrates his practice in product liability litigation. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®, has been selected for inclusion in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers list and is Martindale-Hubbell AV® Peer Review Rated. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Marquette University.

The 17-person commission grew out of the Access to Justice Committee, which conducted a rigorous assessment and analysis of legal needs among Wisconsin’s low-income residents. Members are appointed by the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Wisconsin Legislature, the Marquette and University of Wisconsin law schools, the governor and the Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation. The purpose of the Commission is to develop and encourage means of expanding access to the civil justice system for unrepresented low income Wisconsin residents.
