The Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is excited to announce the appointment of two new and one returning Board of Directors: Dr. Lalia Rach, Dianne Hesselbein and Michael Schumacher.

Dr. Lalia Rach is a former divisional dean and current HVS professor of the New York University Preston Robert Trisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. Ms. Rach’s special appointed term will run July 2010 – September 2011.

Dianne Hesselbein is the current District 9 Supervisor and the Dane County Board of Supervisors appointee for the GMCVB. Ms. Hesselbein also serves as Sergeant at Arms and Chair of the Personnel and Finance Committee for the Dane County Board of Supervisors. Michael Schumacher is the current District 18 Alder on the City of Madison Common Council, owner of Solaris Management LLC and an adjunct faculty member in the Business Department at Edgewood College. Mr. Schumacher has been re-appointed to the GMCVB Board of Directors for an additional two years.

The GMCVB is looking forward to the contribution of their knowledge, expertise and input on the GMCVB Board of Directors.
