PULASKI – Governor Doyle on Tuesday announced that Marquis Yachts, LLC will create 315 full-time jobs in the area with the help of a $1.5 million in loans from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the State of Wisconsin.

“Marquis Yachts is one of the industry’s premier manufacturers, and we’re very excited they will continue to grow and thrive in the New North,” said Jerry Murphy, Executive Director of the New North, Inc. “Today’s announcement shows why our region continues to be among the best places in the nation for companies involved in advanced manufacturing.”

The CDBG program functions in part by allocating resources to local governments to address community challenges such as the creation and retention of businesses.

A number of the created jobs at Marquis will involve manufacturing the yachts in the company’s modern 600,000 square-foot Pulaski facility.

Marquis Yachts, LLC, a leader in the yacht-building industry, markets two brands, Carver Yachts and Marquis Yachts. Carver Yachts was established in 1954 to build small custom boats and later expanded to offer cabin cruisers and yachts. Marquis Yachts was created in 2003 to offer larger premium yachts.
