Kewaskum, WI – Elizabeth Becker, daughter of Gerald and Sharon Becker of Campbellsport, WI, has been selected to receive the Regal Ware, Inc. academic scholarship for 2010. To qualify for the Regal Ware scholarship a student must be a high school senior, maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and be the child of a Regal Ware employee. Elizabeth’s father, Gerald, is employed as an Electrician with the Kewaskum-based cookware manufacturer.
The Regal Ware scholarship is awarded on merit based on secondary school academic records, test scores, recommendations, and extracurricular activities. All applicants were interviewed and further evaluated on qualities of leadership, character, and motivation. Elizabeth will receive a 4-year Academic Scholarship of $2,000 per year.
Elizabeth has been an active student at Campbellsport High School. She participated in Family Community Service and girls’ varsity soccer for 4 years, show choir and drama for 2 years, and art club for 1 year. She earned the most improved player award for her soccer team, and the “Ms. Hustle” soccer award 2 years in a row.
Beyond her studies and school activities, Elizabeth has been an active member of the Campbellsport 4-H club for the past 9 years. She was honored with the 4-H Growth and Achievement Award, the 4-H Leadership Award, and the 4-H Key Award. She has been a member of the National Rex Rabbit Club for the past 6 years, the Wisconsin State Rabbit Breeders Association for the past 5 years, and the American Rabbit Breeders Association for 2 years.
Elizabeth plans to attend University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this Fall to study elementary education
