Prairie Development LTD is pleased to announce the addition of Marcus Theatres to its Prairie Lakes retail development in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Marcus Theatres and Prairie Development closed today on the sale of a 16-acre parcel of land in the Prairie Lakes development, which will house the new Theatre complex. Marcus is planning on the construction of a 16-screen theater, to include an Ultra Screen theatre and a restaurant and lounge. This highly visible parcel on the 151 corridor is located at the corner of Prairie Lakes Drive and Hoepker Road in the Prairie Lakes development, and is easily accessed from Grand Avenue (Hwy. “C”) or Hoepker Road.

This theater complex will be a great benefit to the residents of Sun Prairie, the east side of Madison and all of Dane county. Prairie Lakes is a 107-acre master planned retail/mixed use development, located at the intersection of Highway 151 and Grand Avenue (Hwy C), near the American Center. In March of 2009 Target opened for business with a 135,000 square foot store. Marcus Theatres is the second large user to locate in the project. Prairie Lakes will also be adjacent to a future Woodman’s store along Grand Avenue (Hwy. “C”).
