March of Dimes Supporters Hit the Road for Healthier Babies

WHAT: Farmers Insurance, national and local sponsor of March of Dimes, along with Kutter Harley-Davidson of Janesville will hold their first annual Poker Run to benefit March of Dimes. All types of riders and transporters are welcome to join the event. There will be giveaways for participants with check off points along the ride. After the event, riders will enjoy food, beverages and live music. All funds raised will help support research and programs to help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives.

WHEN: Saturday, May 15; Registration is from 10am – 12pm with the last transporter (includes all wheels) in by 4pm. Food and live music will be featured from 4-7pm at Kutter Harley – Davidson, Janesville.

WHERE: The event will begin and end at Kutter Harley – Davidson 3223 N. Pontiac Drive, in Janesville, WI 53545. The Poker Run is approximately three hours, traveling from Janesville through some of the most picturesque countryside in Wisconsin.

HOW: Entry fee is $20 which includes food, one beverage and live music after the ride. All proceeds will be donated to the local March of Dimes chapter. To register to ride or for additional information call Gary Ellis at 608-757-2929.

WHY: The most urgent infant health problem in the U.S. today is premature birth. It affects more than half a million babies each year, with the number growing every day.

Babies born too soon are more likely to die or have disabilities. The March of Dimes is committed to reducing this toll by funding research to find the answers to premature birth and providing comfort and information to families who are affected.
