Project Will Create 75 jobs, Retain 160 Existing Jobs in Waukesha County

NASHOTAH – Governor Jim Doyle announced today that Dickten Masch Plastics, LLC in Nashotah will receive $293,000 in Economic Development Tax Credits from the Department of Commerce for an expansion project that will create 75 jobs and retain 160 existing jobs in Waukesha County.

“Strengthening Wisconsin’s economy has always been a top priority of my Administration,” Governor Doyle said. “Through my Grow Wisconsin plans, we’ve focused on spurring innovation, leveraging investment, and creating jobs. To ensure a strong future for the state, we will continue to support companies like Dickten Masch Plastics that are committed to providing jobs for hardworking Wisconsin families.”

The Governor made the announcement during a visit to the company’s facility. The company is installing a new production line at a cost of $2.8 million. The project will create 75 jobs and retain 160 existing jobs.

Under Governor Doyle’s leadership, Wisconsin has gained some of the most powerful economic development tools in the country. The budget Governor Doyle signed earlier this year made unprecedented investments in Wisconsin businesses, including powerful new tax credits designed to keep and add jobs. The budget also offered companies major new incentives to spur research and development and gave investors new tools to promote start-ups and new companies. The Governor’s efforts have strengthened a continuous drive to modernize and grow all segments of Wisconsin’s economy.

Dickten Masch Plastics produces plastic components for the power tool, electronics, small engine, construction, health care and food industries. It specializes in thermoplastic processes using 40 to 725 ton presses and thermoset injection and compression/transfer presses from 55 to 800 tons.
