Importance of Social Media Technologies in Economic Development to be Discussed

WISCONSIN—Wired Wisconsin, a non-profit technology advocacy coalition of concerned individuals, businesses, and organizations who are working to put our state on the cutting edge of technology, encourages business owners and entrepreneurs interested in understanding the value of social media as a strategy of economic development to attend the annual New North Summit to be held Tuesday, December 8 at the KI Center in Green Bay.

“We are very pleased Wired Wisconsin’s Strategic Partner New North recognizes the important role technology plays in every aspect of our lives,” said Thad Nation, Executive Director of Wired Wisconsin. “The Summit will have a special panel, Social Media 2.0, designed to get attendees thinking about how social media technologies can positively impact their businesses and communities.”

“Partnering with the New North was based in part on the organization’s dedication to collaboration, innovation and economic growth,” Nation said. “The New North Summit’s social media panel definitely speaks to these goals.”
