New North: Three New North businesses recipients of awards

NEW NORTH, November 24, 2009 – Three businesses in the New North were the recent recipient of various awards.

* Appleton-based Boldt Construction received its third platinum ranking from the US Green Building Council’s LEED ranking system.

* Burger Boat Company, in Manitowoc, was the recipient of the First Place award in Custom Woodworking Business Magazine’s 2010 design portfolio award in the architectural millwork category.

* Kim Bassett-Heltzmann, the president and Chief Operating Officer Bassett Mechanical, in Kaukauna, received the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 2009 Athena Award, honoring women business leaders.

“These recent awards only highlight a small portion of the great people and companies we have in Northeastern Wisconsin,” said Jerry Murphy, Executive Director for The New North. “We extend our most sincere congratulations to these three recipients, who truly deserve this recognition.”
