Sheboygan, Wis. – Continuing to fuel its growth in Chicago, independent marketing communications agency Jacobson Rost appoints Steve Simoncic as Chief Creative Officer. In this new position, Simoncic will closely manage the overall creative product and talented creative teams in the agency’s Chicago and Sheboygan offices. He will work primarily out of the Chicago office.

Simoncic brings to this position wide-ranging creative experience in all forms of digital and traditional mediums working on powerhouse brands including Nintendo, Disney, Coke, McDonald’s, Hallmark and Kellogg’s. He joins Jacobson Rost from PEAK6 Energie, the marketing division of PEAK6 Investments L.L.P., where he served as Chief Creative Officer helping to establish the innovative financial services firm’s branding division.

Previously, Simoncic was a senior vice president and creative director at Leo Burnett Worldwide, where he created award-winning campaigns for leading global brands during his 15-year tenure.

Simoncic received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Warren Wilson College and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Chicago. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Michigan–Steven M. Ross School of Business.

When he’s not copywriting, directing TV spots or collaborating with clients and team members, Simoncic spends his leisure time playing in his band and writing plays.
