U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service: Public invited to attend ground-breaking ceremony for new visitor center at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge

Media and the public are invited to attend an unveiling of the architectural design and a ceremonial ground-breaking for a new visitor center at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. Local and national elected representatives, along with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff will participate in the ceremony and be available to talk with the media after the ceremony.

A short ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch provided by the Friends of Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. All are invited to attend.

Directions: Take highway 21 west from the Village of Necedah approximately four miles to Headquarters Road (look for signs directing you to the Refuge headquarters.) Follow the signs, turning north onto Headquarters Road. The site of the new visitor center is just northwest of the existing facility. Signs along Headquarters Road will direct you to the event location.
