Project to create 57 jobs in Sheboygan

MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Eclipse Manufacturing Co. (Eclipse), Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, will consolidate operations at its Sheboygan facility. Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Richard J. Leinenkugel made the announcement on behalf of the Governor at the company’s Sheboygan facility.

“I am pleased that Eclipse decided to consolidate operations in Sheboygan where it has maintained a headquarters since 1939,” Governor Doyle said. “Commerce is providing a $375,000 loan to assist the company with this project.”

“Eclipse would like to thank the State of Wisconsin, as well as the City of Sheboygan, and the County of Sheboygan, each of whom stepped forward to help us in consolidating our business to our Sheboygan facility,” said Eclipse Vice President and General Manager David Arndt. “Their commitment was integral to our decision to relocate to Sheboygan.”

Eclipse is a custom manufacturer of complex metal components and assemblies. It has maintained plans in Sheboygan and Pikesville, TN, and has now decided to consolidate operations in Sheboygan. The Sheboygan plant has 35 presses, a powder-coating line, and a new ‘state of the art’ robotic weld cell and is prepared to take on more stamping and welding work. Eclipse is well known for its stamping capabilities. Its customer base includes small gas engine, compressor, plumbing, and powered motorsports manufacturers. Besides its domestic customer base, Eclipse currently exports to customers in China, Mexico, Thailand, and Eastern Europe. The project will create 57 jobs, retain 57 jobs, and represent $650,000 in capital investment.
